Meet Our Team
Our team is composed of highly qualified and experienced personnel from Harrison School of Pharmacy (HSOP) and Alabama Department of Senior Services. We strive to improve Medicare beneficiaries’ access to community resources so they can make informed decisions about their own care and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Salisa Westrick is Associate Professor of Health Outcomes Research and Policy. Her expertise is in program evaluation, service implementation and pharmacists’ roles in public health. Her work in these two projects integrates the teaching, research and outreach missions of the University. See a full Bio HERE.
Ms. Hastings is a Graduate Research Assistant and Doctoral student of Health Outcomes Research and Policy. She has earned a M.S. degree in Health Outcomes and Socioeconomic Sciences from the University of Toledo.
Dr. Hohmann is a Graduate Research Assistant and Doctoral student of Health Outcomes Research and Policy. She earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Diego and worked with Rite Aid Pharmacy for 3 years.
Mr. McFarland is a undergraduate research assistant and undergraduate student majoring in Chemical Engineering. He has been an undergraduate research assistant since Summer 2014.
Ms. Fowler is an administrative manager for the Harrison School of Pharmacy’s Office of Post Graduate Education. Her role in this project is to assist with the online continuing education program offering and program marketing. See a full Bio HERE.
Jan Neal, J.D.
Ms. Neal is an elder law attorney and proprietor of Jan Neal Law Firm, LLC. The South Central Alabama Development Commission (SCADC) contracts with Jan Neal Law Firm, LLC to provide SHIP services.
Ms. Glascock is a State Health Insurance Assistance Coordinator at Jan Neal Law Firm, LLC. She serves as the State Project Coordinator for the HSOP Medicare Outreach Program, in collaboration with Dr. Westrick.
Ms. James is the Public Relations Manager and Elder Justice Liaison at Alabama Department of Senior Services (ADSS).
Ms. Jalieba is is the State SHIP Director at Alabama Department of Senior Services (ADSS).
Misty Barnes, M.S.
Ms. Barnes is is the State SHIP/ADRC Coordinator at Alabama Department of Senior Services (ADSS).
