uring the
Feb. 19th Auburn-Mississippi State basketball game, the Harrison School
of Pharmacy was honored as a major contributor to the University's
record breaking food drive. No other School on campus was so honored,
although a couple of organization won too. John Frederick, President of
the HSOP Student Council, accepted the award in front of the crowd at
Beard Eaves Coliseum. It is a tribute to HSOP students' caring,
compassion, and in fact, their competitive spirit that they won this
contest.
In the official count for the Auburn University Food Drive, Auburn
beat Alabama 63,000+ pounds of food to 47,000+ pounds of food, which set
a record. According to some reports, the Pharmacy School‘s winning was
the highlight of the Auburn-Miss game. Our apologies to the AU and
Mississippi State Basketball teams.
