graduate students won awards in a University-wide poster presentation at
the 13th Annual Research Forum presented by the Auburn University
Graduate Student Council. The event was held March 19th and 20th at the
Auburn University Hotel and Dixon Conference Center. The three grad
students are Thirumalini Vaithianathan and Sanjay Birru from the
Pharmacal Sciences Department and Brent Fox from Pharmacy Care Systems.
Dr. Ravis, Head of the Pharmacal Sciences Department,
reported his Department had a great response from their graduate
students; 10 posters from Pharmacal Sciences were presented. In addition
to Thiru, Sanja and Brent, the following students presented posters:
Rakesh Nagilla, Veena Pujari, Tyler Gustman, Patrick Kanju, Zhang Wang,
Phani Prasanth Tirumalasetty, and Yuh-Jing Lin, as well as Mahesh
Fuldeore representing PCS Department. Overall, about 65 students in the
University graduate programs made presentations. To have three HSOP
graduate students win recognition out of so many entries is excellent.

From Synapse to Golgi: in search of functional glutamate (AMPA)
receptors". Thiru's adviser is Dr.Vishnu Suppiramaniam.

Of The High Affinity Neuronal Nicotinic Receptors: Theoretical
