Continuing Education Information


Activity Completion Requirements

To obtain credit for this continuing education program, each participant will need to attend the live conference and complete the online program evaluation in the two weeks following the seminar. CE credit will be uploaded online for most professions, but a certificate of completion can be provided upon request.

Pharmacists & Pharmacy Technicians

Auburn University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education; credits are recognized nationwide.


ACPE Credit is available for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians for the “Healthcare Provider” OTI programs. These knowledge-based continuing education activity has been approved for a total of 6.5 hours of live continuing education units for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

Credit will be uploaded to the ACPE CPE Monitor within 10 business days of completion of the online program evaluation. Once credit is awarded, transcripts will be available online within 24 hours on the Learner’s CPE Monitor profile at www.nabp.net. The Office of Post Graduate Education strongly encourages each participant to check their profile online within 60 days of attendance to ensure credit has been awarded properly. ACPE will not accept CE submissions after 60 days from the live seminar date. Per ACPE guidelines, the AUHSOP Office of Post Graduate Education will not be able to award credit after 60 days.

Physicians

6.5 hours CME credit is available for physicians for the “Healthcare Provider” OTI programs.

Huntsville Hospital designates this [learning format] for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama (MASA) through the joint providership of Huntsville Hospital and the Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy. Huntsville Hospital is accredited by the Medical Association of the State of Alabama to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Dentists & Dental Hygienists

6.5 hours CE credit is available for dentists and dental hygienists for the “Healthcare Provider” OTI programs.

A certificate of attendance for total hours of completion will be sent upon the completion of the online program evaluation. Each attendee will be required to submit proof of attendance to their state board.

Nurse Practitioners

6.5 hours ANCC pharmacology credit is available for nurse practitioners for the “Healthcare Provider” OTI programs. This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Alabama State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Nurses

Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy is a Board approved provider of continuing nursing education in Alabama by the Alabama Board of Nursing. Provider Number: ABNP1515. The “Healthcare Provider” OTI programs will provide 7.8 hours of continuing nursing education. The “Community Leader” programs will provide 7.0 hours.

Social Workers

Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy is a Board approved provider of continuing nursing education in Alabama by the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners. The “Healthcare Provider” OTI programs will provide 6.5 hours of continuing education. The “Community Leader” programs will provide 5.5 hours.

Licensed Counselors

Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy is partnering with Bradford Health Services to provide continuing education credit for counselors: 5.5 NBCC/LPC hours for community meetings.
