Procedures:
- The application process is two-pronged. Some materials are sent to the Graduate School, which will evaluate them to determine that the applicant meets the university's criteria for admission; some materials are sent directly to the Department of Pharmacy Care Systems.

The Pharmacy Care Systems Department requires you to send the following items (items 6-9) to:

6) Three letters of recommendation: Each in a sealed envelope with the author’s signature over the seal.
7) A Statement of Purpose: Within Pharmacy Care Systems (the social, behavioral, economic, and administrative sciences in Pharmacy), we require all prospective students to write a Statement of Purpose essay of up to 1,000 words. It should include why you want to study the specific area that interests you (make sure you clearly identify the area - management, pharmacy communications, counseling and patient education, informatics, automation, facilities design, medication errors, etc.), what you will do with your degree once obtained, why you think the specific area is important to pharmacy, and reasons you think you should be admitted (what strengths do you bring to the program).

9) A written request for an assistantship: We do not have a standard form for this request. An applicant is expected to: (a) explain why you should be considered for an assistantship and (b) describe your qualifications and skills. The decision to award an assistantship will be determined by all PCS faculty. The decision will be based on a composite evaluation of the student's qualifications and the availability of funds.
- TOEFL scores: Successful international applicants must score at least 550 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) paper version (pBT), 213 on the computer version (cBT), and 79 on the internet version (iBT). Additionally, successful applicants must score minimums of 16 on the listening, reading, speaking, and writing components of the iBT. Auburn University's ETS institution code is 1005. Auburn will also accept a 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam.
- GRE scores: The total of Verbal and Quantitative scores should be at least 1,100, with a minimum GRE score of 400 for each section.
- Application Dateline: Applicants should apply by January 15th. Our Departmental admissions committee meets in February. Finalists may be interviewed on campus or by telephone. Offers of admission will be made by April 30th. Offers of admissions must be accepted by June 15th so that the status of alternates may be resolved shortly thereafter.
- Financial Aid: All applicants will be considered for assistantships and fellowships. If you would like to be considered, please submit a written request for an assistantship.
