Briefly describe innovation

Disease management pharmacy. This store is still in the process of planning. It will be appointment based. They are developing this store under the theory of "PETM"(Patient Education and Disease Management). Pharmacists will provide educational benefits based on patient medication profiles. They will teach patients to monitor or manage their disease states using one on one interaction, supplemental brochures, models, and demonstrational devices such as peak flow meters. Thus, the pharmacists will figuratively "PETM." The store will be roughly 3000ft square. It will primarily consist of health care products only, and not miscellaneous items.
Dr. Cripps won an innovative practitioner award last year. He has excelled in innovation in managed care. He is currently the chairman of the board of Rx Care, a PPO for Tenn Care. He is an excellent source of information in the area of managed care and the future of pharmacy.
