Medical Center Pharmacy has rearranged the establishment's prescriptions filling flow so that the pharmacist is available to have a sit-down or personal counseling session with each patient. this allows a semi-private area for consultation. This works very effectively because the pharmacist, pharmacy technician, and clerk work together to better serve the patient. Also, the pharmacy has another separate area for more intensive couseling, video viewing, blood pressure monitoring via the Dynapulse, peak flow monitoring via Asthma-Trac, patient education via various CD-ROMs, and literature via on line services. In addition, the establishment has a compounding area with an extensive inventory of chemicals, devices, and equipment.
