Briefly describe innovation
Mr. Hayhurst recruits pharmacists to provide metabolic and nutritional assessment to patients in the pharmacist's own store. The patient is asked to have a series of labs done that included a CBC, urinalysis, etc. The information is then sent to Dr. Jack Taylor, (an associate of Mr. Hayhurst), for evaluation. The participating pharmacist then receives an assessment to provide to his/her patient. This assessment includes diet and exercise plans, and recommendations for dietary supplementation. Mr. Hayhurst also owns Nutrilogic, the company which provides the vitamins and supplements the pharmacist will sell the patient. Of the fee collected Mr. Hayhurst receives $25 for processing and the profit from the sell of the Nutrilogic products. Dr. Jack Taylor receives $175 for the assessment of the patient. The remaining profit goes to the participating pharmacist.
Note: In addition to Nutrilogic, Mr. Hayhurst is the founder of PCCA and Compounding Shops International.
