Briefly describe innovation

Harry's Pharmacy has two different innovations. The first involves the pharmacist in patient counseling in front of the counter while technicians fill all prescriptions. Mr. Meyers has recently completed his second renovation of the counseling area. Other pharmacists often visit or call inquiring about his counseling area, and he advises them of what works best and what to avoid based on his experiences. He also faxes his floorplans to interested practitioners. Mr. Meyers is also involved in the early stages of a relationship with a third party administrator that develops wellness programs focusing on prevention of claims for their clients. Mr. Meyers works outside the pharmacy to present a 45 minute educational program entitled "Medicine and You" to employees of businesses and manufacturing facilities. The program involves 1) How to get the most from your medicine, 2)Compliance, 3)OTC products and relationship to prescription products, 4)How to get the most from your doctor, and 5) How to get the most from your phamacist. Data indicates that this innovation has reduced medication usage by the employees.
