Briefly describe innovation

This is a retail pharmacy. They are associated with Pharm Care, which is now CareMax. They have a newly remodeled private counseling area, where the pharmacist sits down with the patient to talk about their medication. They also offer counseling to patients about a new disease state and how to manage it. They monitor blood pressure and blood sugar for high blood pressure patients and diabetes patients on drug therapy for these conditions. They also do regular blood pressure screenings. Mr. Mustovic and another pharmacist, Ms. Jose Nieswenter are Diabetes Care Specialists and Mr. Mustovic is soon to be a compounding specialist. They also have a Home Health Care consultant on staff.

Payor(s) Patients pay for diabetic care instruction. They are not paid for their other services. They are currently working on getting third party reimbursement.
