Is documentation required? Yes. Mr. Padellford keeps all records on the CogniCare system: billing information, medical history, interventions and lifestyle information.

Is specialized training required? Specialized training is required for the use of the CogniCare software and Patient Management Programs i.e., hypertension, diabetes and asthma. These sessions last for three days at the CarePoint facilities.

The software required is CogniCare, a window-based program. CarePoint has developed an advanced communications process, Interceptor, which allows CogniCare to receive information from any practice management system on a real-time basis. The license fee for a CarePoint Patient Management Program is $500.00 with a monthly maintenance fee of $25.00.
