Briefly describe innovation:
Pharmaceutical Care. In this pharmacy, the technicians fill all of the prescriptions and answer the phone. The pharmacists are entirely devoted to providing the patient with pharmaceutical care. The pharmacy utilizes the Nexcare company from Waco, Texas to provide training and support to the pharmacists and technicians. Two private counseling areas are set up facing the pharmacy. As the technicians fill the prescriptions, they slide them across the counter to the pharmacist in the counseling area. The pharmacy uses a Dynapulse blood pressure machine to monitor patient's blood pressure. Pharmacists are also certified diabetes and asthma educators and also teach patients how to properly use glucose monitors.
