Briefly describe innovation

A training program for pharmacists has been developed to add immunizations to their practices at the request of the Georgia Pharmacy Association. The program for the immunizations covers lecture, hands on practice and testing. Each pharmacist is required to demonstrate proper aseptic techniques used in the administration of injections and the proper documentation of immunization records. Through this program that Michael Reagan has started, Washington State has contacted him and used his guidance to put together a program for their pharmacists. The pharmacists in Washington State can now give immunizations without a docter's permission if they have taken the required immunization course.
