Briefly Describe Innovation:
Compounding and daily radio tip: Mr. Wesson runs a full line, full service small retail
pharmacy. The pharmacy offers home delivery and 24 hour availability to each patient.
Faxes are sent to and received from 35 foreign countries. Also, the pharmacy carries the
ECHO computer system. Compounding services offered to patients are extensive, and include
the compounding of special formulas that other pharmacies can not compound. Also, at 3:00
pm, Mr. Wesson gives a pharmacy tip of the day on a local radio station. This tip can last
between three and fifteen minutes. Finally, Mr. Wesson offers counseling to each patient.

Payor(s): Most patients carry their own medical insurance. Also, third parties are billed
according to the most expensive ingredient in each compound.

Specialized training required: No, but Mr. Wesson does stock some special chemicals for compounding.
