Briefly describe innovation
Office practice of three suites dedicated to consultant activity only. No drug distribution; strictly pharmaceutical care that includes disease state management including diabetes, heart, HBP, Asthma, EBV, Lymes, chronic, etc. It also is dedicated to the use of alterative medication including herbs, vitamins, and homeopathy. These are recommended via patient consult only.
Mr. Wylie was not happy just dispensing prescriptions. He wanted to deal with the whole person. So he took a chance and opened this office practice (only one suite at first). He called some of his customers in the retail setting who he thought could benefit from this type of program and let them know what he was doing. Mainly his patient population came from patient referrals, but some doctors have referred their patients (cancer, diabetes, etc) to him.
