Clinical Reference Library by Lexi-Comp is a CD ROM or hard drive operated product that takes the collection of books offered by APhA that include a drug information handbook, laboratory guide, PediatricDosing and Geriatric Dosing guides and places them in an electronic environment with a search engine. A recent addition to the library is a dose identification database that displays pictures of drugs. The product can be integrated into a health system network for multiuser access. Stat!-Ref by Teton Data Systems is a CD ROM and/or Intranet product that contains over 30 references on a single CD or secure server. Key pharmacy references include two of the the USP DI Volumes, the AMA Drug Evaluations and the Merck manual. Users purchase the CD and an initial license for the books desired. If the users requires additional references they are already preloaded on the disc and all that is required is a call to an 800 number and some form of means for credit card or purchase order to activate the new references. Harrison's-Plus is a respected medical reference, Harrison's Internal Medicine, that is offered on CD ROM. The Plus version of the software also provides the USP DI on the same CD ROM. The search engine allows access to material searches in both sources and supports table and illustration display.
