Zebra terminal emulation software allows a PC to emulate an HP block mode terminal and connection to an HP3000 either via a serial link or via TCP/IP. Most, but not all, HP700/92 functionality is provided in this version. VPLUS applications will run fine with Zebra which requires Microsoft Windows V3.1 or above. The main features of Zebra is that it allows you to develop a full GUI interface for your VPLUS applications. Various windows controls such as radio buttons, check boxes, edit boxes etc. may be mapped to the screen data. Form definitions for GUI screens may be either stored on the PC hard drive or within the VPLUS forms file, but this feature is at a rather embryonic stage in this version. Zebra uses VT protocol to connect to HP3000 hosts via TCP/IP. A slightly modified version of FreeVT3K, is used to accomplish this. For more information or to download Zebra, click here.
