Lori B. Hornsby, PharmD, BCPS is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the Harrison School of Pharmacy. Lori grew up in Talladega, AL and is an Auburn graduate. She completed her BS in Pharmacy in 1998 and earned her PharmD degree in 1999. She then completed a post-graduate Primary Care Specialty Residency with DCH in Tuscaloosa, AL and Auburn University. After her residency she served as affiliate faculty for Auburn, Georgia, and Mercer schools of pharmacy while working as an ambulatory clinical pharmacist with the Columbus Regional Medical Center’s Family Medicine Residency Program in Columbus, Georgia.

Lori joined the HSOP in 2005 as full time faculty where she practiced in Montgomery, AL with the Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program until August of 2008 at which time she rejoined Columbus Regional. Her practice is located in their Outpatient Ambulatory Clinic where she manages anticoagulation patients and works collaboratively with other health care providers to assist in the management of various chronic disease states.

Her interests include diabetes, hypertension, anticoagulation, women’s health, and medical resident education. She was honored in both 2004 and 2006 with the Regional Preceptor of Excellence Award. In 2008 she was named Outstanding Teacher for the 2007-2008 academic year. Lori lives in Phenix City with her husband, Phil, and two daughters, Emma and Olivia.
