The Department of Pharmacy Practice is
interested in promoting the safe and effective use of medications, with
a goal of improving the health of Alabama citizens. The Department’s
primary focus is the development, implementation and enhancement of
innovative pharmacy practice models within Alabama communities.
Faculty within the department reside throughout Alabama, and provide services through the Auburn University Pharmaceutical Care Center, Rural Area Health Education Centers, Community Health Centers, Departments of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Geriatrics, Veterans Administration Medical Centers, Departments of Pharmacy in Huntsville, Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Mobile, Montgomery and Auburn Alabama as well as Columbus, Georgia and the Auburn University Pharmacotherapy Informatics Center.
