Whether you have made the decision to become a pharmacist or are still in the process of doing so, our Administration and Faculty are interested in helping you to achieve your goals. This time honored and most trusted profession is one of three primary healthcare professions whose members are critical to providing optimum care to our citizens. As a graduate of the Harrison School of Pharmacy you will receive a broad education and will be prepared to pursue one of many different avenues available to today's doctoral trained pharmacist. Our focus is to prepare students as primary pharmaceutical care providers who can initiate practice in any health care environment. Beyond the terminal professional degree are many opportunities for advanced and specialty training through residency and graduate education. From the beginning of your professional program through the fourth year, you will be engaged as a student worker in our organization. You will provide patient care services and will learn to interact with patients and other health care professionals. We believe that this continual exposure to the patient care setting complimented by the learning in the classroom provides the optimum educational experience for pharmacy students.

The future of pharmacy has never been better. The value of quality pharmaceutical care is recognized by the healthcare system and more importantly, by patients. As the development of more complex therapies continues, the role of the pharmacist becomes increasingly important in ensuring optimal and cost effective drug therapy outcomes.
