Ishwor Poudel is a Ph.D. student and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Department of Drug Discovery and Development. He works under the supervision of Dr. Jay Ramapuram. His current research focuses on investigating different additive manufacturing technologies and their feasibility in fabricating personalized drug-delivery devices and formulations. His active 3D-printing projects are related to metal-based orthopedic devices to prevent post-surgical infections and injuries, polymer-based drug-eluting implants for sustained drug release, and fabrication of orodispersible films for rapid drug absorption.

Born and raised in a small town in Nepal, Ishwor completed his bachelors's and masters's degrees in India and has worked as a lecturer at Pokhara University, Nepal, for two semesters, before embarking on his Ph.D. journey at Auburn University.
