In June of 2023, Scott Godwin joined the Harrison College of Pharmacy as a Communications Specialist. He is tasked with supporting the marketing and communications needs of the College, with a focus on admissions and recruiting. Godwin graduated from Auburn University in 1998 with a bachelor of arts degree in corporate journalism. While a journalism student, he served as the 101st Glomerata yearbook editor-in-chief. Godwin returned to the Plains to pursue a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design, graduating with honors in 2002. As a design student, Godwin was inducted into the Alpha Theta Chapter of the Tau Sigma Delta Architecture and Allied Arts Honor Society.
Godwin took on the role of director of communications for the 15,500 member-strong Alabama Association of Realtors in 2005. In 2015, Godwin assumed the role of director of communications for the new Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM-Auburn) campus, located in the Auburn University Research Park.
Godwin is married to Margaret Harris Godwin, a 2002 Auburn University Fiber and Polymer Engineering graduate and Outstanding Alumni Award recipient. They have two children, Eloise and Harrison.
