Ashley Hawthorne, PharmD, BCCCP is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the Harrison College of Pharmacy’s Mobile Campus. She joined the HCOP faculty in January 2023 and also practices with the Department of Surgery in the Trauma and Burn ICUs at USA Health.
Dr. Hawthorne graduated with her Pharm.D. from the Harrison College of Pharmacy in 2014. Upon graduation, she worked as a clinical pharmacist with Providence Hospital in Mobile until 2019 when she became Board Certified in Critical Care Pharmacotherapy and accepted her first academic appointment with Wiliam Carey University School of Pharmacy in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Dr. Hawthorne is an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, serving on the In-Training Section Committee since 2020 and currently holds the position of secretary. She is also involved in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, where serves as the Chair of the Communications Committee for the Critical Care PRN. Her specific critical care interests include infectious diseases and ICU delirium, and she also enjoys participating in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
