Sam Deal serves as Assistant Director, Fiscal Administration. He joined HCOP in August of 2022 after 13 years at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Included among his duties are budget development, financial reporting, and accounting oversight for the Harrison College of Pharmacy.
A native of Dawson, Georgia, he graduated with honors from Ohio University in 2002 with a B.S. in Accounting. After three years in public accounting, he attended Auburn’s Harbert College of Business and received a Master of Accountancy. He then worked two years for the City of College Station, Texas. Deal joined Auburn University in July of 2009 as an accountant in the Department of Clinical Sciences/Veterinary Teaching Hospital and was promoted to Accounting Manager in 2014.
Deal enjoys competing in fantasy football, watching Auburn softball, and coaching youth sports. He and his wife Allison have two children, Samantha and LJ, and reside in Auburn.
