Veronica Rice is an Administrative Support Specialist II for the Harrison College of Pharmacy’s Clinical Affairs and Outreach (CAO) division. She joined HCOP on September 6, 2022.
As the administrative support specialist for the division, she provides a high level administrative and technical support to Clinical Affairs and Outreach, with significant emphasis on more complex administrative responsibilities. Rice coordinates faculty and staff calendars; provides administrative, financial, and general clerical support within the department; schedules meetings, reserves rooms, attends meetings, and takes minutes; and updates and processes payroll in Kronos. Additionally, she serves as the point of contact for CAO; places work orders for repair, maintenance, and improvements; and handles arrangements for faculty and staff travel.
Prior to joining HCOP, Rice worked at an international insurance company as a data processing manager, fire claims adjuster, human resources representative, manager, and project analyst.
Veronica’s husband, Eric, is a pilot at Delta Airlines. They have three children: Eric is working towards his master’s degree at UAH in atmospheric science, Sarah is a student at Auburn University majoring in genetics, and Rachel is a student at Auburn University majoring in genetics. Both Sarah and Rachel are on the pre-dentistry track.
