Hanifat Hamzat is a pharmacist who graduated with her Bachelors in 1998, MBA in 2005 and MSc in 2011. She joined the Ph.D. program at the Harrison College of Pharmacy, conducting research in the Department of Health Outcomes Research and Policy in January 2025. Her research focuses on improving immunization access and vaccine uptake through community-based and pharmacy-led interventions, with particular emphasis on programmatic, implementation-oriented, and collaborative approaches situated within diverse community settings.
Hamzat brings extensive professional experience in public health program implementation and leadership, particularly in immunization service delivery and health systems strengthening spanning over two decades. Her methodological interests include mixed-methods research, descriptive and implementation-focused analyses, and qualitative inquiry to understand real-world public health practice. Broadly, her scholarly work is driven by a commitment to advancing health equity and translating evidence into sustainable policies and practices that improve population health outcomes in underserved communities.
