Clinical Health Services, a unit of the Division of Clinical Affairs and Outreach, has a strong commitment to optimize the economic, clinical, and humanistic outcomes of medication use and wellness interventions among all of our patients. It strives towards this mission though many innovative and collaborative patient care models, advancing experiential programs and engaging alumni.
Clinical Health Services, or CHS, operates three innovative clinics and three full-service community pharmacies. In each of these settings, post-doctoral residents and Pharm.D. students train with experienced faculty and staff to provide premier patient care.
The Experiential Programs Office, or EPO, oversees and manages the experiential curriculum, interprofessional education and the co-curriculum. The experiential curriculum prepares students to be highly competent primary care practitioners who deliver pharmacy care in real practice settings, and with real patients, in collaboration with other health care providers.
In addition to engaging alumni, Alumni and Professional Affairs aims to provide innovative, educational opportunities for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and other health care professionals, both regionally and nationally. It strives to meet the needs for lifelong learning through increasing knowledge in basic and applied science and enhancing skills necessary to respond to the challenges of a rapidly changing and developing profession.
The primary mission of the Drug Information Center is to improve patient care in the state of Alabama. This is accomplished by providing on-demand consultative services, generally free of charge, to Alabama health professionals on any aspect of drugs, drug therapy, and pharmacy practice.
To be recognized as a leader in developing and implementing innovative and collaborative patient care models, advancing experiential programs and engaging alumni.
It is the mission of Auburn University’s Clinical Affairs and Outreach to develop and train a collaborative interdisciplinary team of health professions students and healthcare providers that work seamlessly to provide the highest quality medical and pharmacy services for our patients. We strive as a team to optimize the economic, clinical, and humanistic outcomes of medication use and wellness interventions among all of our patients.
