Services Offered

  • Full-service pharmacy
  • Pharmacy services/ TigerMeds Program
    • AUEP offers the TigerMeds® program. This program was introduced in November 2008 as a benefit for Auburn University employees and their dependents who have AU medical insurance. Through TigerMeds®, employees who transfer all of their prescription medications to the AU Employee Pharmacy (located on campus) can obtain most generic prescription medications free of charge ($0 co-pay). Through this program, there are several ways that employees and dependents can save on out-of-pocket medication expenses:
      • Through TigerMeds®, tier 1 generic prescription medications are free ($0 co-pay) and tier 2 generic medications are $10 per month. This would save you on average $10 to $15 per prescription for generic medications which would be $10 and $25 at other pharmacies.
      • TigerMeds® helps save Auburn University money on medical benefits which helps AU hold down the cost of your health insurance premiums.
      • When your pharmacist works together with your physician (or prescriber) and other members of your healthcare team, research has shown that you can benefit. The team can achieve better medical outcomes, often at a lower cost to you and your insurance plan.
      • To take advantage of these benefits, all you have to do is complete a new patient form to request that the pharmacy staff transfer all of your current active prescriptions from your previous pharmacy.
      • As a new patient in the TigerMeds® program, you can set up an appointment with one of our clinical pharmacists for a FREE baseline medication check-up. Our pharmacy staff can discuss this valuable service with you.
  • Specialty medication pharmacy
    • The AUEP is a convenient, local resource for specialty medications.
    • We are the only local pharmacy approved by Auburn University’s health insurance plan to provide specialty medications for our patients conveniently on campus as an alternative to mail-order delivery.
    • Please call us if you take a specialty medication (like Enbrel®, Humira®, Cimzia® or any other medications on the specialty medication list).
    • We provide personalized service for you and are here to help with any questions that you might have for this special class of drugs.
  • Over-the-counter medications available on site and by special order
    • The AU Employee Pharmacy carries a wide assortment of over-the-counter medications that you might need, including Band-Aids, headache medications, pain relievers, allergy meds, etc. If we do not have an OTC medication on site, we can special order most OTC medications for the next business day.
  • Free on-campus delivery to the worksite
    • The pharmacy provides FREE on-campus delivery on Auburn University’s main campus.
    • Please allow 2 business days for delivery of prescription requests received by 4:45 p.m.campus.
    • There are no deliveries on university holidays.
    • In order to better serve our patients and reduce any confusion regarding deliveries, any new prescriptions called in or sent to the pharmacy by your doctor will be filled and set to be PICKED UP unless you contact the pharmacy by phone or email to request delivery. Please contact the pharmacy with any questions about this policy. Thank you for your understanding.

Clinical Pharmacist Appointments

Are you having any medication-related problems or concerns? Maybe you are forgetting to take your medication on schedule, finding it difficult to afford your medication co-pays, or possibly suffering from side effects or drug interactions. We have a clinical pharmacist who can meet with you to discuss your current medications and health conditions. During this meeting, the pharmacist can assist you with any issues that you may be having as well as act as your advocate, contacting your physician to make recommendations when necessary.
