Student and employer talk at table

As part of the Harrison College of Pharmacy’s commitment to the success of its graduates, the college hosts a semi-annual career day, inviting employers to participate to interview upcoming graduates.

HCOP hosts an in-person Career Day in October and a virtual Career Day in April. Companies interested in interviewing our P4 students should contact Brianna Foster at b.foster@auburn.edu for registration information.

Auburn University Career Center

Employers and potential employees can visit Auburn’s online platform, Handshake, to post and search for available pharmacy positions.

Current Students

Current students can create their Handshake profile by visiting career.auburn.edu/handshake and clicking ‘Login.’ All current Auburn students have a Handshake account and can login using their Auburn credentials. Profiles should be updated and customized to help find the most relevant jobs and provide employers the opportunity to find candidates based upon profile content. Job recommendations are curated based on your interests, skills, major, location preferences, and search history. To start a job search, select ‘Jobs’ and apply filter preferences. Applications can be submitted by clicking ‘Apply’ within the job of interest.

Additionally, current students can utilize Handshake to find career events taking place on Auburn’s campus under the ‘Events’ tab. The Harrison College of Pharmacy will start posting residency showcases, fellowship opportunities, and HCOP specific Career Showcase information here. HCOP Career Showcase information will continued to be emailed to students, as necessary. The Handshake Tutorial video at the bottom of this email contains additional helpful information.

Students are encouraged to check Handshake periodically to check for position opportunities. The use of the Handshake platform will take the place of position email notifications sent out by HCOP administration to allow for a central.

Alumni

Alumni that have surpassed their one-year graduation period and are interested in searching for jobs on Handshake should contact Auburn University’s Career Center career.auburn.edu/ at 334-844-4744 to update their email address on file. Procced to login using your updated email address and click ‘Forgot Password.’ A confirmation email from Handshake will be sent to the updated email address. Click ‘Confirm’ and proceed to change password. Alumni will have full access to the Handshake platform following these steps.

Employers

Employers looking to post a position will create an employer profile for their company. Employers will create a profile once and can update the existing profile as contacts change. Employer profiles include company contact information for validation purposes. Employers posting a position will manage the position description, availability, salary, applications, and interviews. Alumni employers should utilize their individual profile to search for jobs and create a separate employer profile to post jobs. Attached is a guide for employers to create a Handshake profile.
